In Digi, we are committed to continuously help reduce inequalities. One of the ways is through creating a more inclusive internet experience for underserved communities. Starting with improving our digital platforms such as Digi website and MyDigi app, we are hoping to lower the barrier of accessibility for the visually impaired community. Digi Yellow Heart Inclusive Digital Touchpoints Playbook is a compilation of our learnings to serve as a guide for other businesses who have similar aspiration to improve accessibility to their respective digital platforms.

Our first Yellow Heart crowdfunding initiative supported the Ministry of Health (MOH) in their fight against COVID-19. The initiative enabled Digi customers to donate via MyDigi to support MOH and medical frontliners in combating the pandemic. The crowdfunding initiative complements Digi’s own RM1 million contribution to the GLC Disaster Relief Network (GDRN) coalition which also supports the MOH in addressing the COVID-19 crisis. Proceeds were used to purchase medical equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE) and other supplies required by the hospitals.
