Subang Jaya, 7 May 2021 – As one of the approved service providers for the Jaringan PRIHATIN Programme, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) has introduced special offers for eligible Malaysians to stay connected to what matters most to them, which have started since 5 May 2021.

Eligible Malaysians who are also the recipients of BPR can opt to choose any of Digi’s offers listed below:

•    RM180 rebates for prepaid and postpaid plans – eligible Malaysians will receive a monthly rebate of RM15 and an extra 2GB of data daily, for up to one year. With this Jaringan PRIHATIN offer, existing and new customers can choose to use the RM15 monthly rebate across a wide range of prepaid and postpaid plans, including Digi’s bestselling Prepaid Next plan that provides 30GB high speed data with unlimited calls at an affordable monthly price of RM20 (after rebate).

•    RM300 device subsidy – eligible Malaysian families will receive a RM300 subsidy to help equip their children with a 4G smartphone or tablet. To support the government’s objective, Digi is offering special smartphone bundles for both prepaid and postpaid customers.

The Digi Prepaid smartphone bundle will be available at RM100 with no contract commitment, where customers will get 3 months of high-speed Internet access (30GB per month + 2GB free data daily for up to one year), unlimited calls and a free Samsung Galaxy A02 smartphone. Available only for a limited time, interested customers are encouraged to quickly register for the smartphone bundle between May 5 to July 31, 2021. In addition, a wide range of smartphones and tablets will also be made available with Digi Postpaid.

According to Praveen Rajan, Digi’s Chief Marketing Officer, the Jaringan PRIHATIN Programme initiated by the government could not have come at a better time as the pandemic has shown the apparent digital gap within our communities. “As the country moves towards recovery, connectivity has never been more important as it will help to rebuild our economy and society. Digi stands ready to support and help our customers especially those within the B40 community who may be experiencing financial difficulties to stay connected with what matters most,” he said.

Starting from 5 May 2021, all eligible Malaysians including Digi’s existing customers are encouraged to sign up for the programme during the three-month registration period which will end on 31 July 2021. These offers are also open to non-Digi customers who can choose to switch to Digi or subscribe to a new Digi mobile number.

Digi is making it easy for new and existing customers to check their eligibility and to register online via https://www.digi.com.my/jaringan-prihatin-bm. Alternatively, they can also register at any of Digi’s authorised stores nationwide including Digi Stores, Digi Store Express, SenHeng and convenience stores such as 7-Eleven, 99 Speedmart, KK SUPER MART, myNews and Happy Mart.
