We are on a lookout for a Data Science candidate for our Data Orchestration team to turn raw data into meaningful information that Digi can use to improve our Business needs

Competencies:

  • Exceptional programming skills in any general-purpose programming language like Python (preferred), Java, Javascript, Ruby etc.

  • Knowledge of database query languages like SQL (required). Knowledge and experience on NoSQL is a bonus.

  • Experience working efficiently with large datasets using data libraries like Pandas, Numpy or other similar libraries.

  • Understanding of common data structures and algorithms.

  • Basic understanding of probability and statistics.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to solve common business problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Map business problems to analytics problems keeping in view all the data sources available.

  • Combine and analyze multiple sources of data including first party and third party data.

  • Explore new data sources for use case feasibility and propose new data sources for integration with the warehouse.

  • Translate analysis and insights into appropriate solutions for business team to use. Appropriate solution would include – but not limited to - automated reports and interactive dashboards.

  • Share analysis and insights in a clear, structured & concise manner to senior management

  • Build a relationship with key stakeholders relevant for his role

  • Monitors and proactively acts on changing trends (technology, products, and/or customers) that impact own function/ team

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related field.

  • At least 4 years of experience working in analytics and SQL.

  • At least 4 years of experience programming in Python (or any other general purpose programming language)

  • Understanding of Linux and command line tools is preferred.

  • Experience with large data sets and knowledge of both structured and unstructured data
